The plot where House in Odemira, the project designed by Vitor Vilhena Arquitectura, is located belongs to the Alentejo region of Portugal. The volumes of the house have been reconciled with the natural topography and the landscape of the area.
As requested by the customers, Vitor Vilhena's design has favoured a volumetric layout that adapts to the landscape and encourages contemplation of the natural surroundings: House in Odemira develops according to two independent bodies laid out in an 'L' shape.
The orientation of the two volumes has been designed to optimize sun exposure to the south, as well as to correspond to a spatial distinction between open spaces and private areas.
