Clerkenwell Design Week’s three-day annual festival is now in its third highly successful year. It has quickly become an eagerly anticipated event in the design industry calendar. Founded in 2010, the event gathers Clerkenwell’s long-established design community together, celebrating their creative richness, social impact and power for change within this unique part of London. This year's event will take place from 21st to 23rd May.
Over 50 design showrooms have already signed up for the event including Arper, BENE, Bulo, MOROSO, egecarpets by Egetæpper, NEMO Divisione luci di Cassina and Vitra.
Last year's show attracted over 30,000 registered attendees and over 239 brands from the UK and across the globe.
This year the festival will return to its familiar venues, with exhibitors at the Farmiloe Building including Pinch Design, Bark Furniture, Young and Norgate, Jennifer Newman Ltd, Deadgood Trading Ltd., amtico and Material Lab.
The House of Detention and the Order of St John have also been confirmed with exciting plans for additional sites at key points across Clerkenwell.
The expectations for 2013 are high, especially after last year's successes.
Indeed, thanks to the remarkable and enthusiastic participation of the local area and the international design community, Clerkenwell Design Week received two accolades for Best Cultural Event and Best Festival for 2012 at the UK Event Awards, organised by The Drum.
