'Like Paper': concrete folds for DUA Collections lamps

'Like a Paper' is the new lamp-creation of the German studios 'Dua Collection', which will be presented next January at IMM Cologne trade show. Such as paper, this is the concept on which the project is based, where the charm of the folded paper is given through a slow process of of pouring the concrete.

What seems to be folded paper, is made out of slewed concrete. The property of concrete, to precisely display the surface of the utilized formwork, is taken to advantage.

As well as wood shapes the facade of bare concrete buildings, in this case paper empathizes with this part. Although the manufacturing follows certain paper paterns, the completed shades develop individuality through own edges, kinks and creases.
