It lives between heaven and Earth. A House is first of all a shelter from the weather, from the dangers from ambushes. Its ancestor is the cave. Its sister is the den.
On holidays, when a rainstorm brought us along a mountain path, the hut filled with fragrant hay gives us the feeling of ancestral shelter. We sit down, listen to the sound of rain, we feel the smell of ozone that rises from the Earth, happy to be indoors. How to find this pleasure in our homes?
Maybe if we have large windows from which to see the trees swinging in the wind, we'll feel safe ... More our home opens outside, the more we feel protected.
And you can also do the opposite. Bringing the outside in: flowers, rocks, a corner of earth excavated in the floor with plants growing, dense tangles of plants.
