ON DESIGN FOR 2015

Valentina De Carolis, product designer, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design for porcelain, then a Master’s degree in Product Design at the Sapienza University of Rome. I’m product & graphic designer and ceramist, and work on product, graphic, exhibit and interior design. I work with companies and artisans, designing products that lead me to experiment with different materials, from stone, to ceramic to metals, through the design of furnishings and accessories for outdoor and interiors. Like a graphic designer I work on corporate brands and logos, restyling of existing logos, packaging, layout, and also on setting up public and private spaces, such as shops, exhibition stands or events. I’m Local Manager for CERAMIC & FOOD ROUTE in Puglia, international project by IDE International Design Expedition, Co-produced with Fondation d’Entreprise Martell, and creative director for Fatto in Bottega. Also editor for Habitante online Magazine, a project born to support l’Osservatorio sulla Casa di Leroy Merlin Italia and developed with Unione Nazionale Consumatori. Member ADI Associazione Disegno Industriale and Commissione Territoriale ADI Index Puglia & Basilicata from 2017 to 2021, Communication Delegate FAI Brindisi and regional fundraiser teacher trainer for FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano.
