The Design Workshop is organized by Architectural Association of the District of Lecce in partnership with A.A.M. Architettura Arte Moderna and with the City of Gallipoli (Apulia).
Participation is open to people with degrees (or students enrolled in final years for courses) in Architecture, Engineering and other fields related to landscape and environment.
The international Workshop is an extraordinary occasion to get in contact and to build relationships with Italian and European architects.
It is possible to enroll in the workshop as part of a design working group (min. 3 people, max. 6 people) or as an individual participant (to be organized in a design working group at the beginning of the Workshop).
The task of the workshop is to design a new Sports and Leisure District in the amazing city of Gallipoli, creating a mix of sports facilities with commercial, cultural and leisure areas.
The results of the workshop will have an operative perspective, and the limits of the intervention will be defined through a specific study, aimed to transform and regenerate the form of the City, gradually and effectively.
Every design idea to be developed during the workshop will be based on a documentation specifically produced that will be given to every participant at the beginning of the Workshop.
The International Design Workshop will last 1 week. Architects, Professors and tutors will be present every day to support the participants’ design work.
Evening Lectures will be given by famous Italian Architects or Designers: 5+1AA Alfonso Femia Gianluca Peluffo, Alberto Cecchetto, Stefano Cordeschi, Nicola Di Battista, mauro galantino, Beniamino Servino, renato rizzi.
The best results coming out from the International Design Workshop will be published.
