Of his Mediterranean childhood, Robert Gervais has kept a unique sensitivity to color and light. He came to Paris to study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and continued his training as a designer-decorator in the 1990’s alongside Andrée Putman at Ecart International renowned for its re-editions of Eileen Gray and Mallet Stevens. There, he studied materials and was in charge of the quality of original pieces and re-editions. This is how he came to learn about delivering quality and the requirements of sobriety mixed with sophistication. In 2003, he opened his own interior design agency to create functional spaces with strong visual identities for companies as well as individuals.
