"Rainbow" - Cabinet | Rennen Zunder

Theme - Colour for the eyes is like music for the ears! This painting was inspired from the Bulgarian Cherga - short-haired rugs made from wool that are used in stairs and corridors. They are typically 3m to 5m long and around 50cm to 60cm wide. Each region has a different set of patterns and colours. They are commonly hand-made on a loom. I was listening to “Rainbows” by Radiohead while painting the doors. Song - "Creep" - Radiohead (see youtuve version by parlophone) Design - Rennen Painters - Rennen (right door, oil) and “Lion Queen” (left door, acrylic) Details - Steel frame hand grinded and polished, sprayed with clear laquer. Wood panels and shelves. Front painted doors are made from special canvases mounted on thick wooden frames. Dimensions - H= 138 cm, W= 100 cm, D= 38 cm.
