The shape of Smink Things to come The future, for Smink Things’ handmade tiles at least, is very definitely shapely. Inspired by JS Lowry and the humble circle, a new set of Smink Things’ tiles has combined a signature vintage feel with a refreshing graphic approach. Appearing for the first time at Design Junction, these tiles, each individually screen-printed, create rich, regular patterns or unique, abstract designs on feature walls, splashbacks, garden walls and thousands of other unexpected surfaces. Tiles truly are emerging from their decorative past, and Smink Things tiles are shaping the future. Along with the tile collection, Smink Things will be showing a range of wallpapers that take the tiles as their recurring motif. Elegant and understated, the wallpapers offer a twist on tradition and, for a while at least, can convince you that you are looking at the real thing. The result is a small and carefully thought-through range of interior design products that can stand in isolation or work in harmony with each other.
