The task was to design a café chair or table for the new institution Godsbanen in Aarhus..
The design is inspired by railway sleepers and from a desire to create a table of recycled wood. The context; Godsbanen is an architectural scene which stand towards renovation and having added a new function - We wanted our table to be inspired by the same thinking.
Steel elements creates the contrast to the old tree, and acts as the new element and is the functional part of the table. The table can be custom set as a café table and adjusted in height to be a bar table.
The table is designed in collaboration with Mette Risbæk
