For the 40th anniversary of its opening (1973), the Remo Brindisi house-museum, hosted the artistic intervention of Duilio Forte. From 15 to 20 July 2013 in the garden of the the Remo Brindisi house-museum, AtelierFORTE realized Sleipnir Argus, the 28th item of the Sleipnir series, a 12 meters high installation inspired by the horse of Odin. Duilio Forte carries on an artistic research that combines sculpture and architecture, creating monumental usable structures. A strong bond with nature, a romantic spirit and anti-classical characterizes his work. His approach to design is organic, like a spontaneous growth of the structures. The relationship with nature is magical and echoes an ancient animist spirit related to Norse mythology. Sleipnir Argus owes its name to the Greek ship Argo. The mythology says that the important Etruscan city of Spina was founded by the descendants of the Argonauts, the 50 Greek heroes traveling on the ship. The structure, made โ€‹โ€‹of fir wood and pine impregnated, is 12 meters high and was built through a participatory workshop. The interiors have been designed to accommodate a bar for the visitors of the museum. Through this project, the municipal administration of Comacchio intends to deliver a virtuous example of building. The promotion and communication of this initiative is aimed to builders, architects, tour operators and the many tourists on the coast.
