Cortile dei Santi

The Cortile dei Santi is a restaurant with good things from Puglia in Turin. The imagination of the public-private space of the courtyard was the starting point to return a friendly place to eat and talk, a place of passage in which the superfluous physical and stories of the people they meet. In this new context, all the existing elements of the space take shape again in the other as the sink after the demolition of the existing lofts remains there, suspended in the representation of what it was. The new elements, such as the volume entering the Mediterranean high arches until you get to showcase becoming balcony Piedmont, terracotta pots and changes in shape of the chairs represent the scenario of the Courtyard of the Saints. Light, natural and artificial, accompanied the project toward decisions to ensure the conditions of living necessary for the plants but at the same time trying to return the atmosphere embedded in the backyards of our cities. The visual identity of the space is characterized by the use of groupage paintings which depict the Saints linked to the themes of the kitchen in a popular sense.
