I numeri sono da far girare la testa: una struttura costituita da cinque edifici con un volume di circa 350 mila metri cubi, inserita in un lotto di 90 mila metri quadrati. Una capienza di mille posti di lavoro, un auditorium da 650 persone , un ristorante da 350, ma anche una palestra, due campi da squash , un campo di calcetto e di basket. E poi una scuola materna ed un asilo nido aziendale con una settantina di bambini. Se non bastasse, ecco il muro vegetale verticale ( per interni ) più grande d’Europa: 23 metri e 50 centimetri. Benvenuti a Breganze, in provincia di Vicenza, nel nuovo quartier generale della Diesel. Inaugurato nel settembre del 2010 dopo 5 anni di lavori, ha già ottenuto la certificazione energetica in classe A. Un record per un edificio di tali dimensioni. Con un sistema di telerigenerazione viene alimentato il sistema di riscaldamento e di raffrescamento, mentre la ventilazione naturale è garantita dal posizionamento nord-sud. L’asilo invece, alimentato con l’energia prodotta dall’edificio, è certificato “Emissioni classe 0”. La fabbrica è ipogea: solo gli ultimi due piani sono sopra il livello della strada, quasi la si volesse nascondere. Il progetto prevede che in futuro sia ricoperta di vegetazione, in modo che si mimetizzi con il territorio. Parola d’ordine quindi“basso profilo”. La struttura prevede dal primo piano in su gli uffici, per il 95% open space brulicanti di creatività e informalità grazie alla presenza di salottini e zone relax. Da ogni postazione di lavoro si può vedere la natura all’esterno, tenendo fede all’enorme sforzo fatto per offrire qualità assoluta ai dipendenti.La luce , il verde e l’aria sono fattori primari, su cui non si è risparmiato e per progettare gli interni si è giocato molto con i materiali basici, in linea con il mood di Diesel che ama contrapporre povertà e ricchezza: il ferro dello scale e i cementi grezzi si alternano così al calore del legno. Ben 35 mila metri quadrati di rovere firmato Fiemme 3000, scelta importante e piuttosto rara negli uffici. “Si è deciso di investire sul legno in maniera massiccia per due motivi – spiegano i progettisti del Diesel Creative Team – innanzitutto per una ragione tecnica, visto che gli stilisti lavorano a terra per molte ore, e poi perché amiamo il legno come materiale. Abbiamo scelto la stessa essenza per tanti altri negozi Diesel sparsi nel mondo”. Anche l’ufficio del presidente Renzo Rosso è stato pavimentato con il rovere Fiemme 3000. Renzo Rosso ha seguito l’avanzamento dei lavori passo passo ed è andato a colpo sicuro sul pavimento , scegliendo tra circa 200 campioni per trovare la nuance desiderata – spiega il Team. Sulle terrazze esterne si è deciso di posare invece del teak, sempre firmato Fiemme 3000. Impressionante, nella hall d’ingresso, il disegno a mosaico del “moicano”- simbolo di Diesel – composto da 10 mila pezzi di legno tagliati con il laser e poi riassemblati. Pensato per essere visibile solo dall’ultimo piano, è un colpo d’occhio notevole per il visitatore.
