The natural gas company, BG Group working with their designers Concept 4 had an impressive furniture installation completed by HANDS recently for their executive London office. The client needed a new, contemporary look for their reception, board and meeting room that communicated the branding of their company. A great visual and textual contrast was created for the reception through the use of rich American black walnut, cool monochrome Corian® and warm LED backlighting. A refreshment counter, with seamless built in facilities for coffee making was also incorporated into the scheme. For the boardroom, the client wanted a room for not only meetings but for video conferencing too. Therefore, HANDS designed, specified and manufactured a superb media wall that stores audio and visual equipment including two large LCD plasma televisions. The slick seven metre boardroom table has a black Corian® feature panel that matches BG Group’s corporate look, and incorporates microphones and 22 retractable screens that allows clear viewing of presentations and video streaming. For the purposes of continuity, HANDS specified the colour and finish of the outer frames of the screens to match the Corian® feature panel, thus complementing the corporate identity within the design.
