Mira Moon is the latest designer lifestyle hotel within the Mira brand portfolio. A unique 91-room hotel that presents a contemporary abstract interpretation of Chinese tradition in contemporary Hong Kong. Its welcoming environment introduces modern and state-of-the-art features that embrace innovation and creativity, and bring about a relaxing atmosphere with individual and highly personalised details. The design is a modern interpretation of the Moon Festival fairy-tale, a legend in Chinese mythology about the Moon Goddess of Immortality. The characters from the story are represented throughout the hotel and expressed through modern furnishings with antique Chinese fabrics and prints, with details found in the peony flower walls, tailored carpets, digitally selected Bisazza tiles and the lucky charm feature wall in the lobby. Inspiration was also taken from ancient Chinese craftsmanship with the use of ceramics, carved timber and cut crystal and a warm and sophisticated colour palette of orange, brown and light green. This combination of Chinese heritage with a modern artistic expression has given Mira Moon a unique vibrant style. Mira Moon was conceived under the creative direction of Wanders & yoo; a global creative partnership between yoo Design Studio and the innovative Dutch designer Marcel Wanders who is based in Amsterdam.

Among the pulsing bars and galleries of Wan Chai District sits Mira Moon, the pioneering new Hong Kong hideout by iconoclastic businessman Martin Lee. Like The Mira Hong Kong, its sister hotel in Kowloon, Mira Moon melds traditional Asian hospitality with touchable technological wizardry. With a theme of ancient Chinese myths and a touch of 21st century, this unique 91-bedroom hotel invites guests to get a glimpse of the changing face of the city, and provides them with a space to connect with like-minded souls. Mira Moon, the latest designer lifestyle hotel within the Mira brand portfolio, is set in the heart of cosmopolitan Wanchai, on Hong Kong Island. The design is a modern abstract interpretation of a legend in Chinese mythology and the characters from the story are represented throughout the hotel and expressed through modern furnishings with antique Chinese fabrics and prints. This combination of Chinese heritage with a modern artistic expression has given Mira Moon a unique vibrant style which resonates with the locale of the new hotspot– Wanchai. Filled with art galleries, hip cafés, and local designer boutiques hidden in back alleys, blending the finesse of art, gourmet and lifestyle it makes for an artistic dining and lifestyle area where the achingly trendy sip on Frappuccino’s and browse art galleries. Mira Moon encapsulates that vibe and opens the door to it.
