Due to the success of the original building designed by Colin Pennington, the client asked Inside Out to return in order to undertake the design and construction of a new extension to the residence.

The original design and build incorporated bespoke design solutions tailored to the client’s lifestyle. The extensive remodelling and extension continued these ideas creating an additional high-specification cinema room, a double height library and a new master bedroom with en suite.

This additional work would create expansion to the building, which would provide further contemporary living spaces within its complex urban setting.

In order to meet the brief of creating new living spaces and extending the original building, Inside Out designed the extension to utilise the existing materials. The apartment continues as two distinct separate elements to the building and these are distinguished through the use of zinc and cedar timber cladding.
