The interior of the De Castelli showroom is clad entirely with metal sheets. Made by the company itself, these are used and displayed in diverse forms, formats and finishes. Aluminium lamina walls simulate a cement plaster. On the floor, burnished brass suggests a parquet, with a large carpet at the centre made with hexagonal steel tesserae 8 mm thick. No physical partition interrupts the space. The walls are organised by theme sections: “the achievements gallery”, with images of special projects developed by the company; the sample range of materials; and the “objects gallery”, showing selected items. All these exhibits rest on shelves and supports that enable the objects to be neatly displayed but also easily changed and interchanged.
