BRIEF _ To deal with the size and the complexity of an airport terminal (300 000 m²). _ To work with a structural engineer student from Ponts et Chaussées school (ENPC Paris) _ Site: Haikou in the island of Hainan, China. _ Duration: 3 months from November 2012. CONCEPT _ To guide the passengers in the airport complexity thanks to the light created by the porosity of the roof. _ 3 main types of spaces are identified: the main hall (departures and arrivals), an intermediate space with the concessions and the boarding hall. _ Each main space has its identity: the ambiences, roofs, volumes, views and lights are different from one entity to another. They create the passengers transition from the city to the airport.
