Urban lot, area 1171 m/sq, is located above Risan-Kotor arterial road, where terrain descends towards the sea at height difference of 9.5 m. Size of the residential building – family dwelling is 150 m/sq whilst usable footage is 300 m/sq. The building has two floors, height B (basement) + GF (ground floor). There is access from the parking lot to ground floor which is set back to lower level of the building. The longer side of the building is facing west-east. Position of the building is such that it is integrated with the morphology of the terrain. Two units of the building are staggered parallel to allow for constant interaction of building users with the surrounding, which created additional active “living space” in the open ensuring pleasant stay in the building, especially in the summer. Inside, the building is divided into day zone positioned in the upper level (ground floor level) and night zone at the lower level (basement level). Service block and communications are accommodated on both levels in the rear part of the building. Two floors are connected with internal staircase, with atrium planned along these, leaving space for natural lighting and ventilation. Narrow blocks provide better luminance of the building space, i.e. its linear functional disposition provides sea views from all the premises. Thus, front, i.e. western facade is fully open, while lateral and rear facades are closed or have low number of openings.
