MEET ME!

MEET ME! is about neighbors, meeting and ritual. It is an organized public space ‐ a meeting place for people in urban areas indoors or outdoors that provokes to meet, interact and communicate with each other – to perform the attention drawing rituals. It is multifunctional and can be interpreted depending on the need of the user. The basic principle is a modular system that allows creating of different levels with various functions and making a different meeting place in every space. The module combinations also act as a rhythmic and compelling feature that attracts people to investigate it. The goal is for the users to start mutually interact while inhabiting it and sense of participation and togetherness is being developed. Materials Wood – glued beam from pine or larch Metal tubes and threaded rods The glued beams are manufactured at Dores which is the most up‐to‐date log house factory in Eastern Europe (Latvia). A natural wood finish is used for the logs ‐ paint based on boiled linseed oil from PaintEco – partner company of Dores. This paint creates breathing top coat and it doesn’t crack or peel and is suitable for indoors and outdoors.
