The spanish architecture firm "Ecosistema Urbano" invited us to make an intervention at Hamar's Stortorget.
This square become a parking lot since the 60`s, and the project aims to restore main public space of the city for people.
What we made was to create a 1500 m2 "carpet" remaking the traditional Norwegian sweater patterns.
In addition to modifying the public area, we managed to modify people's perception.
After our intervention, Hamar people interact in a different way with the square. Children jump from one yellow band to another, a man on a bicycle rides on a white line, or a couple always are sitting in "their" blue granite cube.
This project took us to the Architecture Bienale of Venice last September
