Swimming pool

The building was designed like a succession of longitudinal volumes that unfold in depth to create a large hardscaped and planted entrance forecourt along the main road. The overrall form of the water leisure centre is like a success ion of long walls oriented North-South containing the functional elements that form an acoustic screen for the swimming pools hall positioned on the south. The two swimming pool halls are placed diagonally to create a depth of field and a spatial sequence while creating two atmospheres and two specific worlds. The pool areas are a series of pyramidal volumes lined with a meshed wood grid and a patterned stretched fabric with overhead openings arranged apparently at random around the roof. Le bâtiment a été pensé comme une succession de volumes longitudinaux qui se déploient dans la profondeur pour créer un large parvis d’accès le long de la route nationale à la fois minéral et planté. La figure du centre aquatique se présente comme une succession de longues parois orientées Nord Sud abritant les éléments fonctionnels qui font écran acoustique aux halles bassins positionnées au Sud. Les deux halles bassins loisirs et sportive sont placées en diagonale pour créer une profondeur de champ et une séquence spatiale tout en privilégiant deux ambiances et deux mondes spécifiques. Ces dernières sont animées par une volumétrie en pyramide habillée d’une maille de bois tressée et d’une toile tendue à motifs avec des ouvertures zénithales en mosaïques.
