Since ARTEKT 法建 also has an office in Paris, we won the competition to designed and built "Le Château d'Ecouen" project which is now under construction and houses the National French Renaissance Museum. The castle and its park were classified historic monument since 2007. This 200 sqm spiral shaped wood and steel pavilion, located in heart of the grounds of Le Chateau d'Ecouen, is a pedagogical project built by our apprentice. It serves as an exhibition gallery, stage show and shelter. The structure of the pavilion is composed of 15 wooded brackets which gradually increase, becoming 3 dimensional and rolling out to form an organic spiral form. In the center of the spiral is a mosaic floor pattern, which was inspired by Anne de Montmorency's (founder of the domain) blazon.
