One of the most interesting challenge of the project, was the attempt to match the traditional Portuguese pavement already existing on the space, with the new design project. Since the traditional Portuguese pavement had to be kept, the main effort was to make sure that it would represent a benefit and not a "noise". The use of materials such as OSB and viroc strengthened that relationship, making the image of the space slightly "cold", as intended, but also keeping it characteristic.
