Neighbors and friends who undertake the adventure to built their own house on a very special place right by the Dutch river ‘de Vecht’. Achieving the maximum with minimal budgets.
The elongated houses have been shifted in respect of each other which allows the residents a private area at the front and back of the house. The town-planning commission required a design that reserves a view from the adjacent park to the river ‘de Vecht’. The front facades are translucent and open, the sides completed in wood are closed with shifting openings that are always linked with the function of the room behind.
