The brickwork block, which accommodates discretionary activities and circulation links, cuts between several little houses. The interior introduces the metaphor of a street, flanked by the swept and multi-coloured outlines of little houses, creating corners and places designed to encourage social gatherings and play. A pleasant little wooden bridge crosses the pond and links the building to the adjoining school. The garden will be arranged like an outdoor classroom to encourage independent play and awareness of the colours and rhythms of nature.
