A school seen through the eyes of children, an articulated series of non-axial shapes, clad with a diversity of materials interacting in apparently random manner, generate spaces that make it easier to identify a place and the function it performs. A sequence of doorways leads to the entrance foyer, equipped with a multi-media teaching facility, which illustrates the energy savings of the building: solar thermal, photovoltaic and recovery systems. The coloured metal sculpture of the photovoltaic installation has been adopted as the building’s symbol.
