Like I always say , Light is one of the most effective and easiest way to improve your home's mood and ambiance.It can often create a mood that can radically change the feeling in the room. This project has been a challenge since the begining ,I decided to remove all the walls and make the space looks and feels bigger .Just following the lofts and open-plan homes concept and looking for ways to make spaces feel as open, light and bright as possible by eliminating walls and doors.In the first floor I remodeled the kitchen and living room into one large open space in order to maximize the space and create an open area that includes living, dining and kitchen .The open kitchen is partially viewable from the living room but not from the main door.I designed the Dinning table which is made of olive tree It brings a beautiful presence to the dining area in creating a sophisticated focal point where family or guests can spend time at the dining table and congregate on the sofa.The staircase was a "must change " since the begining ,the original one looks heavy and makes the entrance of the house look groomy .I replaced the original one with a floating saircase in olive tree and glass that together with the "Dechirer" white tiles (designed by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina) covering the walls of the staircase will help to make this area look bigger and brighter ....where the light will go through easly .I love the subtle beauty of Dechirer tiles collection ...it looks even more beautiful with proper lighting .The vertical surfaces of the fireplace and bookcase will be covered using the natural stone marble " Cream Greece sand home". The cabinets from the custom built bokcase will be scribed into the stone fireplace, giving these bookcases the real “built-in look. The slidding screens are made by Revestimientos Techos Duralmond .In this case they belong to the new collection of Duralmond architectural Latticework.This collection takes its inspiration from natural forms and lines, adding an unexpected and exotic touch to any decoration project. The large scale pieces are ideal for application to interiors and facades. They can be used to provide depth, to separate areas, to filter sunlight or simply to decorate interiors and exteriors with a wide range of available finishes. In the second floor I keep in mind the same priority ,to remove all those things that make the space look small and let the light pass through ever room .
