Ray Shelf, designed by the Italian architect Matteo Gerbi, is a revolutionary shelving system, which doubles as a fully interactive and customisable art installation. Through different combinations of the variously shaped and coloured support units, and a plurality of bars replacing the classic board design, the user may create infinite arrangements to reflect their storage and display needs, as well as their unique tastes and desires. The combination of geometric shapes and angular bars imbues Ray Shelf with a fresh, upbeat and totally contemporary look, which can be enhanced with the brightly coloured pieces from the first collection, or played down with the more muted tones of the second collection. Ray Shelf is crafted from metal, making it sturdy and durable, yet has also been carefully designed to be incredibly lightweight.
