We wanted to create an environment that encourages creativity, but also brings the brand Tbilisi State Academy of Arts closer to the people of the city. It is necessary to explore and connect the various universities with each other. Therefore the restaurant will have a library and an exhibition space. We see the restaurant in the context of a social hub, a new platform for various dialogues, for new aesthetics and politics rooted in the Georgian experience. The Restaurant with the garden is here to connect together memorable insights into everyday life, and the goal of the students is to build the restaurant, in a recluse remote interesting area opposite vace park, into an environment that stimulates imagination and emphasizes the intangibility of creativity. The restaurant and exhibition space are here for all of us where the public and students interact with each other, where people with children can come together and enjoy art, exhibitions, poetry, literature, lectures and music. From a global perspective we also like to examine the artist as manifest in expanding geographies. Therefore a redefinition of regional, national and international dialogue is welcome: exhibition space and library are indispensable. The Mensa – restaurant will actively engages in the rich domain of cosmopolitanism and modernity that is also rooted in the lived and living experience of Georgia, which, for more than many centuries, has been a place of numerous identities.
