The Villa has undergone complete renovation and conservation of an area of about 450-square-meters, part of which had not been used for a long time, what was once the stables and granary. The objective of the project was to create a luxury Villa for rental and it has required a new allocation of spaces taking into account the needs ofthe customer. This has meant th e planning of three new batrooms and three more bedrooms in addition to the existing ones. On the ground floor, the focus has been to create truly country house where the indoors blend into the outdoors freely, so that there is no barrier, exept glass doors and windows, between the kitchen, the living room, the verandah, the solarium, the garden and swimming pool area. The front entrance yard has been floored with gravel in the tradition of tuscan country house leaving room to a green lawn surrounding the villa on two sides and to plants, bushes, aromatic herbs and flowers tipical of italian gardens.The electrical, heating and watering systemshave all been planned having in mind energy saving (solar panels,swimming pool water energy to cool air indoors, rainfall cistern for plant watering.
In the interior design, the choice of colour has been the leading inspiration in creating the final feel of the house, conveying feelings of warmth and quiet, trying to reinforce the idea of intercommunication between the outside and tthe inside through the colours of th e Earth.
Natural materials have been employed throughout: hand made terracotta floorings, kitchen marble flooring from the south of Italy, Firenzuola stone in the solarium, lime wall paint.
