This project was part of my third year design studio and was also submitted for the Future of India design competition where it was short-listed. Accommodation includes two outdoor tennis courts and an underground main and ancillary hall, convertible to suit different user needs and activities from a variety of sport games public events and exhibitions. The scheme aims to enrich the site and attract visitors, while at the same time preserving the park environment - much needed within the high density urban context of London. The low rise of the structure suggests a natural blending with its surroundings while the cafe, designated meeting rooms and a green roof accessible for social interaction between visitors of different backgrounds and ages.
