the site, situated on top of the village benefits of a marvellous 360° view. thanks to its downhill position and the incline there is an overview of the village and its houses and an impressive alpine panorama. on the back an arrangement of terraced pastures give this place a peaceful character.
the building has a simple shape, it is a parallelepiped rectangle with a saddleback roof, in the tradition of the other houses in the village. there are three levels, the middle one being the day-lounge. being entirely glazed this level benefits of the panoramic view mostly.
the facades are made of  pre-weathered wood which will gradually get darker and adapt to the barns of the village to be integrated and become a timeless building.
in the open living-room which has a brown concrete floor and ceiling some walls are blinded with polished stainless steel in order to reinforce the panoramic view.
the bedrooms on the top floor and the small apartment in the basement are designed in a more conceptional way, entirely painted in white using resin and paint. a small area is used for the entrance and the garage in the basement of the site. it connects to the house with a staircase.
thanks to a good thermal isolation and high-performing technical installations the property is built using “minergie” standard. the heat production is given by a geothermic heating pump and non-glazed solar collectors.

le site en bordure du hameau profite d’une vue magnifique sur 360°. coté aval grace à la pente, la vue porte par dessus les maisons du village pour offrir un coup d’œil sur le panorama alpin, coté amont une succession de paturages en terrasses donne au lieu un caractère paisible.
le bâtiment est d’une forme simple, un parallélipipède rectangle avec un toit à deux pans, dans la tradition des maisons du village. il est composé de trois niveaux, dont le niveau intermédiaire qui est l’espace jour. cet espace entièrement ouvert profite au maximum du panorama. il est vitré du sol au plafond.
les façades sont en bois prépatiné, qui fonceront avec le temps pour prendre la teinte des granges du village et s’intégrer pour devenir un bâtiment intemporel.
l’étage jour, très ouvert, est compris entre deux plateaux en béton teinté brun, une partie des murs sont doublés en inox poli et réfléchissent le paysage afin de renforcer cette vision panoramique.
les chambres situées à l’étage supérieur et le petit appartement de l’étage inférieur sont traités de manière plus abstraite, entièrement blancs avec peintures et résines.
un petit volume accueille l’entrée et les garages au bas de la parcelle, puis un escalier enterré relie la maison.
grâce à une bonne isolation thermique et des installations techniques performantes cette maison respecte le label minergie. la production de chaleur est assurée par une pompe à chaleur géothermique et par des capteurs solaires non-vitrés en toiture.
