Athens is a rapidly growing city. Since the end of the Olympic Games in 2004 major projects have taken place so as to completely change the lifestyle and the development of the city. New sites appear on the scene with many prospects and possibilities for the modern Athenian. Athens keeps continually mutating. The research and study of the existing interactions between home, work and the roads are the key to a smooth and sustainable coexistence. The relationship is crucial to the formation of this "experiment". In contrast to the traditional development of the urban “canvas” of the city, around a historical center, it is quite common to witness a certain growth at length a road axis, a development that can be attributed to the proliferation of networks that function as attractions to the contemporary city. Nowadays, people of Athens spend a lot of time in daily commuting. Public means of transport are not sufficient because they do not reach the suburbs. This project bears the title “a new way of living” because it tries to rethink and redefine the connection between housing and busy road axis, as an attempt to reduce commuting time, traffic and air pollution due to vehicles.
