Within an area that lacks urban quality , in a void prone to transformation, come a proposal for a new contemporary art museum, an element that creates an identity strong enough to withstand the life as a single architecture object. That way it creates an aesthetic that one can easily identify and become the foundation for future developments. As a museum of modern art, the programmatic requirements are quite simple: a small exhibition space housing three defining art pieces, Jackson Pollock( N. 32 – 1950), Louise Bourgeois (Spider 1996) and Richard Serra (Double Torque Ellipse II – 1998); as well temporary exhibition space aimed at a multi-format platform. The objective was to create a black box, a safe that contains the valued works of art but at the same time opens up to the exterior manifesting its internal structure organization. A space with different areas at different levels that allow a more dynamic interconnection between the pieces, between all the levels that are in constant contact with each other. The observer find itself in an apparently chaotic geometry that relates to the concrete/metal structure and guided to the glass openings that cut the building from one point to the other.
