The word "happiness" appears empty, without force, if taken by itself and not related to a practical context. Every age has its own conception of happiness, so it’s impossible to consider it as an absolute. Rather, we should consider it as an “invariant”, subject to social changes throughout history. In today's society too often is relegated to abstract things as the constitutions, venal as money or pathological as possession. The systemic crisis that we are experiencing is twofold and can be seen as an opportunity to escape from the present situation. How? Proposing a way of acting and thinking in contrast to those that which has led to the crisis: bringing together and sharing resources, experiences and practical tools outside of the bond money. No good, no compulsive buying, no waste, no law of value: a continuous and osmotic exchange of “quality of use”. Common Cube (CC) wants to be a tiny fractal of this possibility: as a concrete and pratical provocation, an experiment, a base unit that can be multiplied and spread in all the cities; starting from Favara. CC functions like web, aims to become a hub, a strong ties that attracts weak ties, around which make and break n-social relationships in flux.

CC drives us to behave as well as when we use the network, but in material life: providing a material community in which everyone has free access without owning anything. Everyone can contribute to its growth and functioning. As indeed might be the cause of its failure: no derogation to the Institutions, CC organically interacts with its users. As “primitive” man took from nature what he needed for himself and others, so modern man takes what he needs and recirculates it takes to others through this infinitesimal part of “nature designed”, practicing their own and others happiness then understood as a process of liberation through their passions.

CC (250x250x250 cm) is made entirely of wood, treated to resist weather. Each face is composed overlapping plywood panels (240x240 cm). External surfaces are painted with the Farm Cultural Park flag’s. Internal surfaces of panels are painted with white blackboard paint. You can move the panels (max 180°), make different configurations. The overlapping panels are kept closed by magnets. Panels rotate on vertical hinges until 180° and are based on small trolleys.

CC can be connected to the mains and easily moved thanks to the wheels underlying.

Internal surface of the inner panel is wall equipped: you can interact and access to book, websites, images and other using Qr Code. Some of this can be permanent, others temporary (stencil Qr Code).

CC also works as a speaker/amplifier. Connect your computer or musical instrument and spread your music: CC become a sound system.

CC contains 64 small stool-cubes (50x50x50cm) which in turn contain everything you want to share. Do you want make diy objects? Search the right tools! Do you want growing making guerrilla gardening? Put and take seeds in CC! Everyone can use them!

CC is painted with white phosphorescent paint.

Configure CC to make it suitable for exhibitions, concerts, shows, or to obtain a quite urban place in which you can relax with a book or everythings else:

Do you need a football goal? Adapts CC! Do you want study or write something or work on computer? Open the suspended table! You can also connect.

Would you like to improvise a dance or a concert or a unconference (like BarCamp) or...? Adapts CC as a scenic and the small cubes as an audience! You can also invite your friends through Wi-Fi system.

Play with CC and live it! Game is a serious thing, is
one of few form of human activity in the value’s society.
