The 60 m high apartment tower forms, in conjunction with two other high-rise buildings, a new district called „Donau City“. The 70 apartments (from 55 m² to 130 m²) have open floor plans. The concept of the tower is based on the idea of stacking two „houses“, on top of one another, in a way that a common space, a „Skylobby“, occurs at the intersection. The high-rise is seen as a reactive, intelligent machine. The form reflects the forces specific to the site, such as wind velocity and the angles of the sun. The intelligent energy façade operates as a living skin, actively controlling the internal climate of the building.
