The surrounding city fabric is mostly lower buildings with mixed uses and new high rise commercial and residential developments that determine the new face of the city development in that area of Baku. The project proposal accentuates the two exposed parts of the site with two distinct building elements: The horizontal volume of the Event Center gives a strong urban statement along Aladdin Guliyev Street, whereas the vertical volume of the multifunctional Business Tower creates a focal point at the end of Sergey Senyushkin Street. Both main building elements are lifted of the ground and are sitting on a common base connecting the western with the eastern part of site. The special feature of the project proposal is a VIP ramp leading directly from the main drop-off on the roof garden level 3.50m above ground to the upper main lobby of the Event Center.
