Museum of Fine Arts in Baku serves in two buildings those had been built as a school and a residental at the end of 19. century. The main principles of the project on integration of the two buildings are to faciliate the museum catch up with the new requirements of contemporary museology and ensuring compliance with international restoration principles and approaches. Within this project, an additional structure serving as a bridge and hosting the common areas is designed between the two buildings. This contemporary building shows its elders respect, by the means of its transparent facade fallen behind them. The proposed project is chosen to be implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Conctruction is in process.
