Habap is a historic Armenian village in Kovancılar, a district of Elazig. Armenian monuments which could reach up to the present day had been damaged by both natural and man-made means. The fountains called Aşağı Çeşme and Yukarı Çeşme are unique sources for our understanding civil Armenian "water architecture". In 2009, on behalf of the Hrant Dink Foundation, asbuilt, restitution and restoration projects have been prepared voluntarily for both of the fountains. The application process has been completed in 2011.
