The conceptual approach for the delineation of this watch is based on the famous Mille Miglia race in Italy and in the design of the racing cars of the '50s. The dashboards contained very simple instruments to indicate speed, engine temperature and fuel reserve, they usually only had one large needle for easy reading. Chrome metal was used in the body to emulate the edges of the instruments and the face design is done in brushed aluminum to mimic the highly polished bodies of racing cars, numerals are engraved by laser and fixed to the face by means of stainless steel screws clearly visible under the glass. The movement will be 24 hours instead of the usual 12, so the upper half face shows 12 hours of day time, from 6 am to 6 pm, the lower half represents the twelve hours at night. The black leather strap is stitched with stainless steel wire, emulating the cover fixing belts and steering wheel leather trim; this will be joined to the housing by Allen screws, mimicking the attachment points of the car’s suspensions.
