«This plot, in a particular site, has a triangular form, «inserted» between the North and South railways. These tracks overlook the site which finds itself caught between two concrete retaining walls.
The strong character of the building will be given by reading two elements: a functional body which is sandwiched between two «plates».
These two architectonic and multifunctional plates will encircle the building on its north and south facades, only on the office floors. They will be facades as well as protective skin, acoustic screen, thermal shield and a recall element with the environment and architecture of the rest of the ZAC.
The slab of the north facade thanks to its organization and its treatment will also be a reminder and will be able to interact with the building on the other side of the tracks.
The east angle, on the station side, in «peak», is treated like a rift which houses, between the two plates, a fire escape.
On the ground floor, the staircase reveals itself and appears as a purely structural element, holding like a structural support, the tip of the building.»
