The “ideas and observations on competitions” are a spin-off from an interview we gave to an Austrian architecture magazine about competitions. After this interview the idea to write down illustrate and share our experiences emerged because in the interview we could cover only a small part of the process of competition making. Being a combination of text and image we wanted our ideas and observations to become a point from which the viewer can start referring to his own procedures and approaches. Therefore the photographs illustrate the texts in an abstract way: The images show only small sections of our office no finished architecture or completed design of ours is visible.
