Culture: Hui Ink (ink stick produced at Huizhou of Anhui Province considered the best of its kind) is one of the media of traditional Chinese culture. The birth of ink by the Chinese is a great contribution to the Chinese culture as well as the world civilization. Hui Ink is a miracle stemmed from the Chinese ink technology and also one of the "four treasures in the study"(writing brush ink stick ink slab and paper). An ancient proverb goes that "A good horse is to a famous general what good ink to a scholar". Meanwhile as a specialty of Anhui Province Hui Ink boasts the richest and most profound cultural reserves. The cultural characteristics of Hui Ink imply that Anhui Radio and Television Center as a medium organization has close relationships with culture.
Derivation: After making a thorough analysis over the culture we finally come to two shaping methods for the whole interior space: 1) shape of the solid ink; 2) free elements of the non-solid ink such as its mobility shade and diffusion. The main tone of the interior space is demonstrated with the shape of the solid ink and the feature of each space is embodied with the free elements of the ink. In this way the interior space presents us a flavor of majesty and uniformity while varieties still survive being rich but not in random and unified but not dull.
A small Hui Ink stick may be in a variety of shapes and can pass down the culture. Being ever-new and having profound knowledge is the best interpretation for the radio & television industry and is a reflection over the philosophical and ideological approach of Anhui Radio & Television Center. What we create is a poetic space with the oriental philosophy reserves. This is the very philosophical aesthetics brought about by a Hui Ink stick.
