Designing a memorial for the Armenian genocide's 100th anniversary when a large number of countries have not yet recognized it becomes a challenge to make of this space not only a memorial but a vector to develop awareness in people that would lead to more recognitions in the future. The proposal developed around a horizontal strip that became a spiral under the existing sculpture the whole path lit by Armenian khachkars representing the intellectuals that were killed on the 24th of April.
