Hotel Arcadia is located on the first square one encounters entering the city of Tripoli on the Peloponnese. Since pre-war times a hotel was situated here, originally three floors high, and later extended to five. In order to create the contemporary but comfortable appearance required, the hotel was entirely renovated both internally and externally. The renovated hotel consists of a basement with supplemental uses, a ground floor with the reception lobby, cafe-restaurant and the kitchen, a mezzanine with a meeting space and a television room and five floors with eight rooms each. To emphasize the clarity of the design, white and black are the dominant colours of the materials applied, leading to an environment of modest, relaxing luxery, and to emphasize the architectural solutions without tiring the visitor. Apart from the graphic interventions, decorative elements were therefore avoided. In the elevation interventions were limited. The glass boards of the balconies were engraved with graphics similar to the ones used in the rooms of the hotel, to predispose the visitors from the outside.
