Exploration of the utilitarian, typically void of splendor, captured our curiosity when developing the 'slice' cutting board. A product that is characteristically defined by its purpose yet visually invites attention in any kitchen environment. The removal of two mirrored, wedge shapes from either surface of the cutting board enhances the functionality of effortless lifting as well as controlled funneling of foodstuff in one movement. This not only improves the practicality of the product but gives it a sense of ornament as well.
