OpsisArchitects’ team was challenged to rearrange the interior space of this one-family house, by eliminating a number of elements in order to simplify both the function and the aesthetic of the indoor space. Interventions were also suggested in the facades and the surrounding of the residence. The living-room and the dining-room were carefully designed, to suggest a rather non conventional combination of dining table and chairs. This new construction with the particular design is both a dining surface and a space partition element. The white corian surface, projecting on the dark grey wall, emphasizes the contemporary design and creates the intensity that was missing. Red and natural timber colors of the rest of the new furniture balance the composition. The bookcase follows the same design principles and underlines a minimal and contemporary composition. The wide mirror brings the natural light and the green element of the garden inside the house. One of the main tools of planning of the interior is the lighting, both natural and artificial, which converts the indoor space during the day and the needs of the residents.
