Renovation small residential project. The existing interior is divided with hall, sanitary, bedroom (formerly garage), living and dining room, kitchen and storeroom. The needs of the customer, to adapt this existing interior in function of lifestyle, design and materials was a necessity and the originally thought was to extend by surface area. But, given the additional cost of the expansion and renovation of the existing interior, there was opted to adapt the existing interior to its maximum in terms of function and materials. The concept consists of, removing the wall between dining room and kitchen, the kitchen give additional surface through space out of the bedroom, the entrance of the bedroom (ground floor) move to hall and the wall of the kitchen to replace by extra storage space to storeroom. Through the wall between dining room and kitchen, to remove, we get a cohesion between the various living functions. And, through a glass door, between the hall and the kitchen, we create more spacious living space. The storeroom is also redecorated, making the spaces seems bigger. The main room is equipped with a false ceiling in the living area and the kitchen (+storeroom), making the architectural spaces are divided into specific features. The choice of floor materials (parquet and stone) are also distribution of various living functions. The stone floor is placed in the hall, kitchen and storeroom causing the space a optically bigger view. Parquet is equipped in the seat, dining room and the bedroom. The colors, for walls and ceilings, forms a concept which extends into the different spaces. When the simplicity gives the overtone, texture and form jump into the eye.
