Tapestry for Neolice, the company enables to reproduce the Aubusson's weaving technique in a digital process. In wool and cotton, six colors. 180x100cm. Collaboration with Mayeul Reignault. Both figurative and abstract, the shapes drawn by the plumes of smoke play on two fields. Suffocated links closely its pattern to the tangible material that composes it. The cotton and wool stitches depicts the smoke particles with an overabundance of material, that creates relief on the surface of the tapestry. On the other hand it emphasizes the contrast between the instantaneous aspect of that kind of picture and its support, whose weft comes into existence slowly. An opposition between a fleeting sight and an artistic device that lasts.
